Uniformed Groups Youth Leaders Conference 2007

what is Uniformed Groups Youth Leaders Conference 2007 ? its a conference at the republic polytechnic. officers from 9 different uniformed groups meet up for this beautiful conference. they are the national cadet corps, national police cadet corps, national civil defence cadet corps, the boys' bridage in singapore, the girls' brigade singapore, girl guides singapore, red cross youth, st john ambulance brigade and the singapore scout association. apart from that. we have cadets corps, scouts, girls guides, civil defence corps from countries like malaysia, brunei, hong kong.

The details of the event is as follows: Date: 7th – 9th September 2007
Time: Day 1 & 2: 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
Day 3: 8.30 am to 3.00 pm
Venue: Republic Polytechnic
Attire: Full Uniform for Day 1 & Day 3 Conference T-shirt for Day 2
Fee: S$10.00 per participant

DAY1:[7th sep fri] slept at 4am in the morning on friday. woke up at 5am. bath.. change into my no.3 uniform. den for the whole day. its listening to speech. except the fact i ran off half way for an hour break with lau at some sofa! den speech speech speech whole day. after that. took the bus home. slept the whole journey. and cut my hair at storm. had dinner with ky and justin at mac. just another session of talking and went home after that.

DAY2:[8th sep sat] now. woke up. first thing first. bath. and carefully dry my hair. so it is very straight. and den used my dear wax. and dress up. check my check list. and got off! took the first bus 28. wao. one word cold. we really bonded well on this day. had a interact session with some important of singapore. the theme was "singaporeans connect - think global, stay local" had fun. learn lots of stuff i can just pick up on the streets. one quote i remember was "only with high EQ, can you move on to the higher path".very true indeed. den we exchanged our contacts. next up!! we had our visit to the singapore armed forces training institute! super interesting. i have to be a officers next time man. the bunk is super cool. next. lau and I had our SAR21 shooting. 6bucks each. me? i tried once. but lau tried twice. he had both a one digit for score. me? haha. its just a 26. not a lot la. even lau combine scores was lower den mine! hah. whose the marksman??? next. we had our amazing race @ singapore discovery centre. was quite fun. but den. you know. im just sian... den had like a 30mins bus ride back to RP. had tea break. chatted all the way with friends. lastly. we did our group discussion for the visionary on the last day.

DAY3: [9th sep sun] i would be sleeping like a pig this day. but i was awake at 4am!!! past the psp to ky and justin. went to meet lau and ben. den had the normal long bus trip to RP. was in no3. i promise pictures later on. its now really an intesting except for the super duper fun discussion session-"touching the singapore heartbeat, writing the sinapore story".. well. we were super out of topic. we planned a combine UG camp. and theres this NCC big HEAD. who even wanted to help out. like WOW! haha. after the video presentation, the comversation with MOS who was a really lousy speaker. who when asked question. he reply"what do you think?". irritating lor. went to toilet for 30mins. haha. den came the unveiling of the postage stamps "Uniformed Groups in Singapore". then came feedback and evaluation. really felt that i saw this RJC girl. who is really like my kind. but she too smart for me. so did not even bother to take a photo with her. well lots of emotions.. knowledge.. thoughts.. feelings .. throughout the whole 3days. really felt like a crush. through lifes. meetings. chats. its a big thing for me. a TRUE UNIFORMED GROUPS LEADER. who don on the white and gold bar.
